Guidelines for Abstract Submission
The SCS ASM 2022 Programme Committee thanks you for your submission of scientific abstracts.
A: Original Research
- Basic Science/Pharmacology
- Electrophysiology/Heart Failure
- Imaging/Preventive Cardiology
- Intervention/Structural Heart/Surgery
B: Clinical Case Reports
All Abstracts must be submitted electronically. All submissions must be original work that has not been previously published.
Selected original research abstracts from each category will be eligible for the oral presentation competition on 7th May 2022, with prizes awarded for the best abstracts. All other accepted abstracts, including Clinical Case Reports, will be featured as Posters in the virtual abstract hall. Clinical Case Reports will not be eligible for the Best Abstract oral presentation.
In addition, original research abstract submitters may be eligible for the Young Investigator Award (YIA) competition upon meeting eligibility criteria (see YIA tab below).

Please indicate the Presenting author using the checkbox within the Abstract portal.
If the abstract is accepted for poster/oral presentation, the Presenting author must acknowledge the abstract acceptance and register for the conference before the stipulated deadline, failing which the abstract will be withdrawn. Complimentary registration for the full conference will be accorded to Presenting authors of accepted abstracts.
Multiple submissions from one person on behalf of multiple presenting authors are NOT allowed. If you are submitting the abstract on behalf of the presenting author, please enter presenting author's information.
Original Research Abstracts should be organised in the following format:
- Background
- Methods
- Results
- Conclusion
Clinical Case Reports should be organised in the following format:
- Background
- Case report
- Discussion
Title
Capitalize the first letter of all major words in the title as well as articles and conjunctions of four letters or more. Do not use abbreviations in the title. Do not end the title with a period.
Abstract Body
The word limit is 300 words (does not include title and authors).
When using non-standard abbreviations, spell them out in full the first time they appear in the text followed by the abbreviations in parentheses. Capitalize the first letter of trade names. Do NOT enter author or affiliation information in the abstract text box.
The Programme Committee reviews and grades each abstract submission for quality and scientific merit. A blind grading process is used to ensure anonymity and equality.
Please indicate in your submission if you would like your abstract to be considered for Young Investigator Award.
To be eligible, submitters must fulfil the following:
The first author must be below 40 years old at end of 2021 (31st December 2021).
The first author must be the presenting author.
The research work must be done locally in Singapore, with the first author playing a major role in the study.
The research must be original, not previously published or accepted for publication in any form, including electronic publication, at the time of submission
Abstracts that are not eligible for YIA may be considered for oral/poster sessions.
